Description
The year 1895 saw the famous Great Lakes salvager, Tom Reid, determined to raise the ill-fated, 290-foot freighter Cayuga from it’s grave 100 feet beneath the surface of Lake Michigan. While other salvagers said it was too deep and too difficult a task, Reid took it on as a personal challenge. Watch as events unfold that take this salvager’s dream and turn it into a horrifying nightmare.
The DVD contains underwater video of this shipwreck that now lies mostly intact with her large engines exposed. Off the port side is the work barge the hard hat divers used in the slavage attempt and the 4 expensive pontoons used to raise the vessel are next to her hull.
