On November 30th, 1996, the 30th anniversary remembrance of the sinking of the S. S. Daniel J. Morrell was held in Port Huron, Michigan. This video documents the entire evening program, which includes:

• Cris Kohl’s multimedia presentation on the history of the Morrell.
• Underwater video of both halves of the sunken wreck.
• A musical tribute by Great Lakes folk singer Lee Murdock.
• Dennis Hale telling his story of the sinking and his incredible 38 hours on the storm-tossed lake.
• The closing “Bell Ceremony” remembering the lost crew of the Morrell.
